If there are any techs out there, I'd appreciate some help on these two DTC's...

P0704 - Clutch switch circuit malfunction
P0571 - Cruise/Brake Switch Circ Malfunction

Symptoms - When trying to turn cruise control on, the indicator light flashes 3 times and then goes out. The cruise control does not work. The other symptom is that the brake lights work intermittently.

I replaced the brake light switch, checked all grounds, fuses, checked all bulbs in the rear for the brake light issue - still comes and goes.

 

Sounds to me that you should have replaced the clutch switch. Cruise kicks out when you depress clutch. If switch is defective it would keep Cruise Control from working. Good luck.

Try Starting the car (in neutral) without depressing the clutch. If it starts I think you would have your answer.
