Thanks for that explanation. I kept thinking that there was something about the MCS bumper that was different that made it impossible for me to visualize but I remembered having seen it done as in the photo above (just couldn't place it).

I am going to get the chrome grill slats and mirror caps. The rear boot strip would be a fantastic addition. I remember one of my earliest thoughts seeing both Minis was that the MCS didn't have that cool strip. I wonder how difficult a MC replacement part would be to adapt.

Thanks again.

>>I learned last week that now you can order a MCS 3 slat (Not 4 slat front grille as in the MC) chrome front grille (Upper and lower part) for about $96 from your MINI parts counter.
>>
>>The current MCS stock bumper doesn't allow for the MC chrome strips, unless, you change your stock MCS to MC bumpers as in the previous post (Doesn't look bad at all, but it gives the impression that your car is a MC with a MCS hood scoop).
>>
>>Unfortunately, MINI is not yet offering the rear hatch chrome strip that goes above the license plate for the MCS.
>>
>>I am also looking into the chrome exterior mirror covers that retail for $60.

Chrome will look awesome with your color combo! Go for it! I have the chrome on my BRG/W MINI and I love it! Makes it look a lot better then without the chrome.

I'd have to agree that darker colors like VR look great with chrome, BUT I'd add one qualifier. If you are planning anything like center stripes (white for example) the body colored inserts can look awesome, especially as the stripes hug the rear bumper contours. (...bumpers are kinda out of the way in front.) Otherwise the chrome bumpers might fight with the contrast of the stripes. This is the only exception I'd like to mention. My IB has chrome and its awesome!
