2004 MCS rim bolt pattern

i am in need of some snow tires and want to get 2 steel rims in a 13 to 15 inch size with some high profile snow tires. i see the do not make a snow tire for my 17 inch rims.

can some one tell me what rim would fit onto my cooper s ? i want to buy some from a wrecker .

The bolt pattern is 4x100

I would not go smaller than 15 as smaller one probably will not clear the brakes.
You can get Winter tires for your 17's

My son tried on a 13" at our last auto-x

The rim hits the lower ball joit and will not even line up with the wheel bolt holes.
Unless you had some AMAZING negative offset.

Maybe a 14 ???
but tire choices are limited on 14s

Are you considering putting these only on the front? Bad idea.

Most definitely. It is probably much safer to have 4 regular tires than 2 snow tires on the front.

You don't want your front tires writing checks your rear ones can't cash.

Whoa, whoa, whoa! There is more to buying wheels or tires than getting a pair for the front.

First off, winter tires ARE made for your 17" wheels, but they are expensive. IF you did that, but 4. Period. If a customer were to come in to our store and say that he was only buying 2 winter tires, I would send him down the road. I do not want the liability, and only 2 winter tires will NOT work properly. Differences in construction, sizes, sidewalls, speed ratings, and many other things will conspire to make a 2 tire deal very bad for your car.

Not a lot of 15" steel wheels will fit our cars, but most 15" alloys will. The bore size of the wheel is also important. Honda's actually use a 56.1mm bore, so they would fit our cars. But, they use a ball seat nut or bolt. If you plan on using Honda wheels, either convert to studs, with the Honda nuts, or use some of the 12mm VW wheel bolts.

If you are trying to stay on a budget, see if someone has a used set of winter wheels or wheels and tires.

well it looks like i have no cheap way out lol
i will go and look into getting 4 snow tires i guess. i really did not have plans on driving my mini more than one winter , but i do not have the extra cash at the moment to buy a winter beater. the mini is just to low for any real snow falls , mine will be lowered in the spring next year .

i have driven my lowered 2002 mini in some northeast (long island snow). I had blizzaks on the car and it did fine . I had the car for 1 year and 4 months (2 winters) and racked up 40k miles and never once did snow stop me.

There are plenty of good deals in the Wheels and tires for sale forum: Also check other local Mini forums for good deals. I found a set of one season old Bridgestone blizzaks on 16" steel rims for 275.00 If they last me 2 winters (since i won't be driving much this winter) I think I scored a great deal.

I have a set of 15" snow/ice tires that were incredible on my PT Cruiser in all kinds of nastiness. I'd like to keep them for my soon-to-be-arriving MCS if it's at all possible. Is there a 15" wheel that will fit an '07 MCS, or is that idea nixed because of those marvelously oversized brakes? I tried Tire Rack, but the smallest they have is 16" and way too nice for snow & salt & that NE-wintry crap.

Thanks much ...
ed

Edit -- Bavarian autosport (http://www.bavauto.com) has 'em, but they cannot confirm if they'll fit an '07.
