I popped the hood the other day for the first time in a while. Noticed the RED Alta Intake filter was not so red anymore...How do I clean it?? whats the correct procedure???

 

Never have delt with an Alta filter before...is it foam? The filters on my cars are high performance filters that are oiled, K&N-type filters. Regardless, if it's a performance filter, you should be able to get a cleaning kit. This might be what you need:
