Funny you should mention this! Someone slamming my car's doors has always been one of my pet peeves! I can't stand it. I have a couple of friends that slam their doors so hard I'm convinced their going to fall right off the car one day.

It's probably because they've had big old American junkers that wouldn't otherwise close!

My wife has already had the rath of me and the door slamming, of course if I was a Southern Gentleman all the time I would open and close the door for her all the time!!!! I hate it when anybody slams any door on any car, it just kills me. I don't care even if it is a American POC, the more you slam the worse it is going to hang and then you have to slam it harder the next time

I always give my wife an evil look whenever she slams the Mini doors too hard! They close with little effort! I'm also just afraid that the windo will break because I'm not used to having glass w/o pillars built around it!

I almost had to leave my wife because right after we got married I bought my 2000 Jetta VR6 and she proceeded to slam the door everytime she got out of my brand new car. Well, I told her that the brand new wife would lose out to the brand new car so please stop slamming the door.

Even more so than the slamming (which is high on my list), I really HATE when people close the door by pushing on the glass! I have owned other cars w/o a full door frame around the glass and trained myself to push on the DOOR - it just drives me crazy when people grab the glass - not only am I afraid they'll break it, but GEEZ - keep your greasy, grubby, paws off of my clean glass!!! Whew - that is my rant!

YES!!

I totally agree....I have a HONDA Civic DX Coupe. Very light car. Everyone who gets in the passenger seat slams my door. they respond "i guess i didn't realize how light your car is". As they drive there American made/SUV's or such. I cringe even when they slam the rear trunk!!! "OUCH" my poor car and ears!!!

oooh! I hate the shutting of the door by the glass. My mother-in-law does it every time! What can I say?
I started getting out of my side quickly, running to her side, opening the door, and then shutting it for her after she's out. Yes, I know, that's what I should have been doing all along. But she's a quick one, so normally she's up and out before I can say boo.
The things we do for love.
Of our cars.
