Since MINI articles seem to come up so seldom, I'd thought I'd report...

Just saw that my local Barnes & Nobel is now carrying Mini World magazine, which is great for classic Mini owners but kinda sad cause it points out the fact that BMW mags seldom feature MINI acticles. (...for which i'm sure there is a good reason.) Anyway there is an extensive article in Mini World on the JCW Cooper S upgrade. Mini World seems to feature MINI articles/news quite regularly...but its a UK mag, so most of the news/vendors are from over there. Funny the local B&N is carrying Mini World now...an MINI dealer is located just blocks away...maybe they think a Mini is a MINI. Oh, well, beggars can't be choosey...it's nice to find any mag which includes our beloved cars. (...if you don't know it, introduction of MINI has caused quite a stir...good and bad...in the UK Mini community. Many of the Mini World pundits are very in favor of inclusion of MINI into the traditional classic Mini culture. Seems like BMW mags are less accomodating...at least for now.)

I'm sure in the future you will find more and more articles pertaining to the New MINI in Mini World and the like. The New MINIs are here to stay, and the aftermarket advertisers know it. Mini World has been around for some time as is Mini Magazine. In order to sell products geared toward the New MINI these magazines will have to start featuring New MINIs. The Classic and New MIni can co-exist in these once thought of Classic only mags. Only a couple of months ago Mini World featured a complete advertising section on New MINI parts. They can and will change if they want to survive.
