My MCS just past 9,500mi and will soon get its first scheduled trip to the dealer. Is it me or does the motor and car just keep getting better with each mile?

I have noticed in the past 1,000 or so miles the engine seems to be noticably smoother and more powerfull. It is like a switch went on or something. When does the motor reach its maximum break-in conditioning? Has anyone else noticed this?

The honeymoon continues

The weather (temperature) or the gasoline being used at the pumps (it is about that time some stations around the US change from their winter brew to the summer brew for emmisions reasons).

I'm at nearly the same mileage and can't say the engine is any smoother. Really about the same. I do know that the steering feels different. It could be from run-flats wearing down, the suspension components getting looser, I don't know. I do know that it feels much like Mike's MCS that I drove when I had only 2k miles on mine and he had 4k on his (see thread somewhere here on the MCO about that)

So anyway, Happy Motoring!

btw, I have 2600 miles until scheduled oil change and I have 9800 on the odo. About another month or so, then I can get it done.

I just had my 10,000 mile service and I think it seems the motor is pulling a little harder - never thought about the fuel change over so that may be it

could be a placebo effect for me, car happy coz it has fresh oil!!!:p)
