Im used to turbo nissans more than supercharged minis but im slowly learning.
i have heard that are stock minis come with a factory bov or bpv,is this true?
I think it would be awsome to have that bov sound of relesing air, but would it be benificial for me or even possible to do?

 

no supercharged cars do not have BOV, unless they are centrifugal, which minis are not and you cant put one on

our cars have a little valve that opens to let off excess pressure, but you cannot hear it

 

Yep...and to make sure the noob knows, the new coupes are turbos with BOV's. So the new stock MINI's have them...just not ours.

Gotadrift, you may want to jump down a few forums if you're looking to go newer with a turbo...

 

...and if you really gottadrift, you might want something other than a Mini, unless you're gonna drive backwards all day.

 

A supercharged car can have a bov. Both of the cars in my driveway have bov's... one is supercharged and one is turbo. One has a Greddy Type-S and the other has a Turbo XS RFL. The supercharged one just works a little different, the set up is different and the sound is really weird. It's more of a pop off valve. I've never seen this done on a MINI though.

I haven't even been around enough turbo S's to see one with a bov yet either. Are people doing that?
