R50/53 Pics of my All Black Cooper S - Now with Black Grille...
What kind of prep work did you do on the chrome bits before painting them? I was originally planning on going your route but decided to just go with aero grilles because I wasn't sure if there was going to be a major problem with the paint sticking to the chrome.

yeah i didnt think paint stuck, so i ordered the aero grills

It has PC/ABS substrate, easier to paint than Polyprop
All I did was use a bit of wet and dry to score the surface slightly to provide a key for the paint then sprayed it with a plastic primer, then a top coat then a clear laquer...

As a member of the "All-Black" club, I have to say that your car looks hot! I do thing that the chrome trim around the body-colored grill looks like an open mouth on the MCS...no chrome "teeth" like the MC. I was originally looking to get a chrome grill to add some "teeth", but now I see there's another way to go.
