R50/53 How good do you have to be...
To test drive a car that thats a manual transmission? So Im a beginner with driving stick, but i dont ever stall, dont ever start rough etc. its just more of a confidence issue for me. How good are/were you the first time you drove a manual that wasnt your own?! thanks

First time? Absolutely, gawd awful. People stared. Took me well over an hour to get out of a parking lot without stalling. It got better though. Really, don't worry about it as practice makes perfect.

No worries. The mini has one of the easiest clutches I have ever driven. No stalls.

If you have some experience, just go for the test drive. Then flip the keys to the salesguy for a rip back to the dealer and allow him to show you what that thing really can do.
When I went for my test in an MCS, that's what I did. Took it off the lot with the salesguy riding shotgun. Then we switched, and scared the crap outta me. He really drove that thing hard. Then we switched again. And it was my turn to do the scarey manuvers. Then we got back, and I filled out some paperwork to order one of my very own.
Try to find a cool sales person. One that doesn't mind if the car gets its wings stretched. You'll do fine.
Cheers,
