This weekend MINI Canada is holding a "Test Flight" test drive promotion. It takes place on an old airfield, in the north end of Toronto. They (apparently) promoted the event locally for the past couple of weeks. Somehow I missed all the promos, until I heard a local rock station talking about it on air this morning.

The first 1,000 sign-ups at MINI.ca were eligible.

I dropped in unannounced and unregistered and had a "test flight" anyway!

A course was set up (quite short, actually) that involved quick turns, slaloms and a short straight-a-way. One lap, get out, and then on your next turn, two laps.

They put about 30 people through in an hour, on 20 MINIs of every style and configuration. Afterwards we got snacks, some brochures, and a very cool MINI Test Pilot baseball hat.

The hat was the reason to go. You're not going to see many of them around. Lot's of MINI prospects for Toronto MINI dealers!

All in all, a good little promotion.

I might give the hat to the "driver of the day" at The greatest MINI event ever!!
