Some suggestions.
See if you can look on the MINI club list for the east coast forums and post something about seeing if there is an active group already in your area or at least nearby.
For example in Philly see

Some clubs are more active than others. Some are worth driving to meet up with.
Your local dealership might also know if you have any active MINI club in your area. Or your BMW Car club may know.
If you make a little flyer or post card about forming up a MINI club you can leave it on the windshields of MINIs in your area to tell them to check on NAM and join us (it's free).
It's hard to post in Coupe Talk and find other MINIs in your area because they may not know that you are looking for them unless they are already active on NAM. A good sign is if you see a NAM sticker on their rear window or something. Put one on yours and see if that will attact attention.
Good luck with your search.
They used to be for sale but I cannot find them anymore. You can ask Mark our founder if there are any for sale not listed.
Another possible choice are grille badges- you use a round metal disc to attach to your grille and buy round magnets to put on the disc to attract some attention or have some fun.
Check around and see if you can find any NAM grille badges.

I tired motoringfile.com but the link to NAM badges wasn't working right.

I am about 30 minutes away from Temple in Schwenksville. I am a PhillyMINI member. PhillyMINI is a great group of people who organize a lot of events. There are some great Fall events coming up!!!! http://www.phillymini.org
