Hey guys does anyone have an automatic mini?
Im still waiting for the auto to come out here in canada and was just wondering how it shapes up.

Also does anyone know if you can get the cooper S rims on the cooper ...you know the cool looking standard ones?

 

The 'S' standard rims are pretty ugly IMO. Are you sure you're talking about the 16" and not the 17"?

 

I test drove all 3 minis from the dealer. The 5 speed was not that impressive, so I stayed with the automatic. I do a lot of city driving, so shifting is a hassle. The "S" was just a little to stiff of a ride for an everyday driver like me, but it did handle and accelerate quite nice. Overall, the auto is fine, but it takes some getting used to. :smile:

 

Cool just what i wanted to hear... i have an old mini aswell and can not stand the shifting in the city... i have one huge right arm from it now

as fpor the ugly standard rims....maybe they are different up here in canada.... they kind of look like an evil snowflake pattern to me and come with all season run flats on them...

they probably wont put them on the cooper though so i think i will stick with the 16" 5 spokes.

im so excited to go test drive the automatic... why does canada have to waite so long for them... it doesnt seem fair we only get 2000 cars for the entire country... but i guess thats part of the appeal to..

 

16"s are standard on the S (making the 17"s an option), aren't they?? I like those rims too! (The ones that you are talking about....I am not completely nuts over the 17"s but that is just my opinion.)

I have the CVT and I love it...I live in the city as well and I love to have the automatic option, plus the tiptronic is very peppy and fun to drive.
I have the 5 spoke wheels on my Cooper and I love them, but it couldn't hurt to ask your dealer.....I'm sure whatever you get you will just love!
