Slow is relative. It's not just raw HP. It's the ever famous power to weight ratio for starters. Then it's where the power band is. My mother's Prelude has, supposedly, 200 HP. It takes so much work to get that automatic up anywhere near that car's powerband, I call it slow. Then there is the go fast, go straight crowd versus the overall performance (people that prefer turns be involved) group. The former only cares about how quick you can hit top speed and what your time/speed in the 1/4 mile is. Your autocross time doesn't impress them. The latter may care about acceleration, but mostly in terms of recovering lost speed from a corner. And really, isn't the race course the main area where these numbers matter? The vast majority of cars are capable of unsafe speeds for highway travel. Top speed of an MCS is 135. Highest speed limit in the US is 75 MPH. The MC can manage well over 100. At this point were arguing at who can break the law faster and more flagrantly. Yes, I speed, but you won't find me going a lot faster than the traffic at large and nowhere near my car's top speed......

....Except that ONE time....
