hey guys/girls i am 18 and live in temple, PA. I recently purchased my 02 mini cooper S on the 16th on this month. i am soo happy with it and have no complaints but one. my 6 disc cd changer doesnt want to work, i put the cds in and anf push the mode button on the unit and it just makes some clicks and pops and gear noises and sound like its searching for a cd but doents find one. it will reconize there is a cd but wont play it. i try many different cds too. please help.

and to settle a friend and i's arguement (please do not flame) mini is german or british.


other than that i am estatic with my new girl and cant wait for the new exhuast and 15% pulley on the way.

Can't help you with the 6 disc changer, you might need a new unit.

MINI is British made by BMW which is German, lots of interesting discussion on NAM about that one. Do a search!

If it's seeing a CD then it may just be dirty heads . You can get a CD that cleans the heads - it has a few very fine brushes on the CD itself. Try that first - you can get them at Radio shack or most audio stores. They don't cost much and is the cheapest starting point. Hope it works for you !!
