Okay, had a crazy thought, but no photoshop skills to go with. If I could get another MINI, it would be IB/W w/ white mirror caps and wheels. I suddenly wondered, what would a white grill look like? Can't see any way to do anything w/ a chrome one, but the MCS body colored grill could be painted, yes? The white/blue contrast is already way cool- wonder if the grill would be too much. Anybody w/ photoshop skill care to do a mock-up? It's be interesting to see.

Tried to do the grill white in Photoshop, just couldn't get it right. But I DO have the lower part of an MCS grill here (less chrome)

Here you go. I wouldn't want to have this one in FL though, bug guts would show up too well.

Very nice work, Dave! The white grille looks sharp....definitely should be considered!

Cheers!

Thanks, Dave- you've captured it well, though again, it could probably only be done on an S w/ the body colored grill. I'd bet that if MINI offered a no chrome white grill option, it would do pretty well. For some colors, coupled w/ the white roof , wheels and mirror caps, it would rock- IB, BRG, CR, maybe even black.

Nice work Dave. I was trying to fill in the grill using the Magic Wand tool, but my Photoshop skills lie more in getting stuff done for output - color correction, etc. There are so many things I don't utilize in it - just use what I need on a day to day basis...

Its kinda hard to tell from a photo (...but its a great place to experiment) because so much of the chrome looks white in pictures, but as Clo said, it shouldn't be ruled out. The front of the car has a lot of chrome, so which do you go with...chrome accents...or white? I think you're onto something, so keep us posted if you try it. (...I'll be keeping things chrome, though. )
