Can't quite understand the explanation from the manual (so what's new!) so exactly what is this feature supposed to do, 'cos I can't tell any difference.

 

Had the wipers on intermittent last night here in Maryland (surprise, its only rained like seattle for two months) and saw first hand how the speed sensitive stuff works. When I was clipping along at 50 mph, the wipers turned on and off fairly quickly, maybe 3 or 4 seconds between cycles, and when I stopped at a red light, they turned on and off almost 8 or 9 seconds between cycles. I'm sure the regular wiper settings do the same, the faster you go, the faster the wipers, with the idea being that more raindrops hit the windshield at higher speeds.
