My friens MAZDA MPV has a flat battery, I'm wondering if its ok to jump start it from my MINI cooper s, or if thats much for it?

Should be ok. If neither of you have ever jump started another vehicle, get someone who has already done so. Its a straightforward process but can be intimidating for first timers.

While I am not expert here, far from it, I think the MIni manual has specific directions about jump starting. The procedure is not the same as you would do for a normal autmotobile because of some of the fibre optic technology in the Mini.
Make sure to read the Mini manual first.

Thanks for the replys, But after discovering that I, my friend and none of my neighbors who are in have jump leads I decided to call AAA. I'll ask the guy to show me that FO-Tech in the mini while he's here. LOL.

Please feel free to post comments as whether or not it's wise to jump start from a mini if you like!

Shouldn't be a problem. Just follow the instructions in the owners manual
