Introduction

Gentlemen & Ladies,
Just introduce myself. I am the new owner of a 2005 R53 Mini S with 20K miles. White/Pearl, black top, mirrors, and black stripes on the hood.
I come from a long Audi family for the past 16 years going from A4's, B5 S4's (2001), and then moved on to my highly modifed 400 WHP 1992 UrS4.
Why did I come to the Mini family, or at least I hope I am welcome , well a few reasons.
-1) UrS4 HP can encourage bad behavior. It doesnt 'force' this behavior..just leaves you with a bad temptation of going fast
-2) I am a new father, well sort of new, my 2 year old son Nolan has put things in perspective
-3) Audi selling the A3 only with Quattro in the 3.2 L V6 vs. the 2.0L Turbo with ONLY FWD was frusterating...and too pricey..regardless!
-4) Time for something new. I am a gearhead...pretty much if I dont have grease under my nails..something is wrong.
-5) Toyhead....I have a 2003 Buell XB9SL that I have also modified..and love..but again see #2 as it also might be on the market.
-6) Gas Mileage...I would like to try to make a difference.
-7) I still remember being chased down by a Mini at Second Creek Raceway (gone) in Denver in my, at the time, RS2'ed UrS4....I had no chance

Anyways I look forward to learning from you guys/gals..as the turning bug in my blood will never leave.

I am putting my name on the list for the Pulley Party at Webb Motorsports here in Denver in August along w/ their intake and RAF as my 1st mods.

Cheers Gents!

Cody

Congrats on your new purchase. I'm sure you'll find a lot of ways to get that grease under your knuckles with the MINI.

(ps. That might have been Randy chasing you down in his mule.)

Welcome. I think you are slightly deluded if you think you won't get into trouble with MCS, I drive mine harder than just about every car I've ever owned, and there are several Porsches in that history. I learned how to drive in a 1964 356 Super 90 coupe. I also think that the Audi S-4 is one of the best cars that ever hit the bricks, but until I'm in the grave I'll always think that my MCS is the most fun car I've ever owned.
