R50/53 4 MINIs in 1,600 miles !?!?!
Greetings,
We just returned from a great trip to North Carolina and back to south Florida in our MCS. Man, the roads in NC were built just for the MINI  !! Traveling up I-95 (in pouring rain) to I-26 then onto Lake Lure, NC we spotted only 1 MINI - on I-26 near Columbia, SC - a BLK/W. While in Lake Lure we spotted an Indy Blue Cooper with white roof at Lake Lure Beach on Memorial weekend!
After leaving Lake Lure on the return leg we came to a stop light and chatted a minute with a great fellow in a BRG/W MCS in Columbia,SC. And the best of all we spotted an Indy Blue/W north bound on I-95 south of St.Augustine who had pulled over to assist another motorist who had car trouble! Thats the true spirit of motoring  !! The MINI ran superbly getting 28 to 32 MPG throughout the trip. The 28 mpg was some energetic mountain driving. We ran as high as 34 mpg on I-95 and those are actual calculations, not the trip computer.
I would definitely recommend a trip to the mountains if you enjoy a real thrill with your MINI
!!
Best Regards,
Ron

Well I guess that is good because here in Miami I see at least 20 to 30 MINIs a day so our cars are becoming less exclusive here in the Magic City.
We are going to Virginia in a few months and I am looking forward the mountain roads and twisties...that is the only drawback of living here in Florida with nothing but flat and straight roads...no twisties to speak of.

Hi !!,
It is the camera angle, as I am planning on a set of H-Sport springs from Randy at MiniCooperMotosports in the near future.
I love road trips in the MINI
