I wanna black out the last little bit on the front of my car. Soon, I want to order the black round marker lights on the fender and wanna black out the grille. Now, what I want to do is buy this:

and bomb it satin or flat black. But, my question as you see is will it work? It says billet but it also says brushed. So, will I have to sand it down or should I be able to just blast it a couple of coats and bolt it in?

 

Flat black is really easy to spray, lays easily and is hard to mess up. I would guess you would prolly have to sand it to give the paint something to stick to. Ask Ryan if you can, he knows the most about painting out of all of us. Call me if you need his number.

M7 has a black lower mesh grill.
More than the Moss version but then it is coated black and you don't have to deal with paint chips. (If it is just painted it will chip.)

 

A much better idea.

You would have to apply a self etching primer before painting the grille.
