From Original Mini's to the new MINI, young to young at heart, lots of pizza, and raffle prizes, this was a great evening. With our shady weather that morning I showed up with a dirty car, and felt very embarassed by it, but no one really cared. The atmosphere was great, super friendly people, with a very relaxed approach. I ran out of pictures on my digital camera in about 5 minutes getting shots of all the cars and the interiors of the originals. Around 6:45 we all jumped in our cars and cruised down to the theater, and even though it was only a 5 minute trip, it was so cool seeing all the MINIs cruising with me. And then to see them all parked in our section of the lot was a pretty amazing sight. Very fun time last night, I wish we could do that more often.

Thanks to everyone at Bill Jacobs MINI who organized, worked, and basically took care of us. You guys are great!

Last night saw Roadshow MINI/BMW, Memphis, TN host a special Italian Job preview screening. The weather was gorgeous. MINI car owners ranged from the young to the old and every age in between. What was most impressive were the actual number of MINIs in attendance. I didn't physically count each and everyone but there had to have been 100+. AWESOME.

We met at the dealership at around 16:30 (4:30pm), for Italian food, MINI hamburgers and refreshments. Each of us received a goodie bag containing 2 Italian Job movie posters, 2 foam Italian Job golfball size antenna stick-ons (in black or yellow), a packet of mini Oreos and some Italian Job stickers. All nice touches. Roadshow had a special 15% off sale of MINI merchandise + 50% off on some selcted items. Sales were very brisk. I wore my Italian Job t-shirt from miniswag and received many favorable comments.

At 1830 (6:30pm) we headed off in convoy to the movie theatre. The reaction from other motorists and bystanders was just simply terrific. Overheard in the popcorn line was the fact a motorist was so blown away by the MINI convoy that he failed to negotiate a turn, mounted the pavement (sidewalk) and hit a pole!!!!!

After arriving at the theatre there was a drawing for door prizes (didn't win, never do).

The movie was enjoyable and everyone liked the fact that an original Mini was also included. Great cast and the car chase was very good but ...... it should have lasted longer however.

A really fun evening and many - many thanks to Lori, John, Dorian, Troy, Michelle and everyone at Roadshow for a really fantastic evening.
