hi,

i posted a few days back about the problem i had w/ my CVT MINI. after 8,600 miles, the gear display suddenly read "EP", which i was told satnds for "Emergency Programing". i had the car towed to MINI of Sterling. the message i got from the tech. was that they had to place "An updated diode in the wire harness". the car is running fine once again. i was unable to speak to him in detail about it, so this is all i have to offer. thanks for all those who sent advise on this problem.

 

SAME EXACT PROBLEM HERE. When they told me they had to replace a diode I thought they were nuts cause I had never heard of that before on any of the boards. Now I feel a little better. Mine is still in the shop awaiting the diode though.

mine wasn't showing reverse in the display!
wierd eh?

 

and did this fix the problem? Cause mine had the EP and stalled once at a stop sign.
