Open Invite: Winter Driving School 2/19 at BeaveRun
The PittStop MINI Club is extending an open invitation to MINI owners and enthusiasts (you don't even have to drive a MINI) from the Ohio Valley and Mid-Atlantic Regions to attend a Winter Driving School at BeaveRun Motorsports Complex.
Since the BeaveRun facility is also close to many Ohio folk, we thought it might be nice to let people who are not in our Club know about this opportunity. It is a bit of a drive for the DCMMers and eastern PAers, but if you're interested or are in the area, we'd love to have you!
We currently have 18 driver spots still available on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can pay and register on our website.
The details are also on our Registration page, but here is most of the info:
When: Sunday, February 19, 8:30AM - 4:30PM.
Where: BeaveRun Motorsports Complex
Cost: Non-members: $50; Pre-registered Members: $40;
What: Morning instructional time and in-car excercises, then apply your learning on a slippery course! The course is in a wide-open area with nothing around to hit. It is a safe and fun environment to learn how to handle your car in wintery conditions.
NOTE: Slippery conditions can be acheived artificially if Mother Nature is not cooperative, so the event will only be cancelled (postponed?) for severe weather conditions.
PS. We have a Performance Driving School/Event coming up on March 19, also at BeaveRun on their North Track. We will be extending an open invitation for this event as well. Watch for more details to be posted soon or continue checking www.pittstopmini.org.

Event Update
Reminder, it isn't too late to sign up for this event yet! We still have some openings for drivers.
FREE STUFF: We now have a 15% reduction pulley (donated to the Club by CravenSpeed) that will be given away in a random drawing. You must attend the event and be a Club member to be eligible for the drawing.
Lunch is included in the registration price. (This was previously undetermined.)
As noted above, we are hoping for snow - the event will not be cancelled unless there is SEVERE weather. In the event that it is too warm or there is no snow, the surface can be made sufficiently slick to have a lot of FUN!!!
