Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix
Friday, Minis parked on the Roberto Clemente Bridge prior to the baseball game at PNC Park - Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Florida Marlins. It was a beautiful evening and fun to see the minis on the bridge. Wish there had been more!
Saturday, approximately 80 Mini Coopers showed up at PNC Park for coffee and doughnuts donated by Krispy Kreme. We then followed in a procession behind the Allegheny County Sheriff's Mini Cooper, about 6 miles through Downtown Pittsburgh, Uptown, Soho, Oakland and Sq. Hill to Schenley Park (site of the Vintage). It was a blast! Rained dampened our spirits a bit, but many of us hung around for most of the day.
Sunday, all of the Minis lined up again, under a beautiful sky, and paraded around the race track. Even more showed up to make the Marquee car of 2004 a big hit!
This was our first Pitt Stop Mini event and we look forward to the next!
