Dinan Aftermarket parts at Rasmussen

After a hot tip by a PDXmini member, I called Rasmussen to check the warrantee policy regarding DINAN aftermarket performance parts. They said that if Rasmussen installs the DINAN parts, the DINAN warrantee will cover their (aftermarket part) and any "damage" to other parts on the car under the same terms as the MINI warrantee. Inotherwords, there is no GAP in warrantee coverage, and if MINI will not cover damage caused by the DINAN part, then DINAN will cover completely. That seems like a good deal. You can check the DINAN website to see what they have for us.

Bet they will cover it if installed by another Dinan dealer too. In my experience that is how it has worked for me.

So what are you going to get?

got the WORKS Intake

I decided to go with the Works intake sold at Helix13 for $250.00. I liked the idea it is a closed (and quiteter) box until the "flap" opens at 4500rpm. I have had it for a couple of days, and it is a tad louder than stock, and has a breathier sound, but is still quite civilized.
