Thunderhill June 19, 2006

The Sacramento Area Miata Owners Association (SAMOA) is sponsoring Got Guts At Thunderhill, an open track day open to all makes of cars. It is being held on Monday, June 19, 2006. The cost is $210 and includes more than 2 hours of track time, refreshments and catered lunch. Proceeds from the track day and a noon raffle will benefit the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (www.ccfa.org). Although the price was scheduled to go up on June 1st., we are holding it at $210 all the way until track day, as the response so far has been great.

Right now the novice group is full, but there are slots still available in both advanced and intermediate. And for those who would not mind instructing (for just one hour - 3 morning sessions), SAMOA is buying $20 in raffle tickets for anyone that volunteers (if we get more volunteer instructors than we need, you still get the free raffle tickets). So far I don't have any Minis or MC's paid, but I have had promises from 3 or 4 that they would sign up. I have also asked Niello Mini Cooper and MiniMania to donate to our raffle and perhaps even show up with a booth. Lotus of Sacramento will be there with a tent and a new Elise AND a new Exige. I know, its a Miata club event, but MazdaUSA ignored us, what can I say?

Anyway, for complete event info, including a current driver list, log on to www.gotgutsatthunderhill.com. Or you can call me at (916) 454-1008 or email me anytime. Hope to see you there.
