I suppose it could happen, but I'm sailing from Bremerhaven Germany and you from Southampton, England...

nevertheless, BMW/MINI both use WW, so both ports could easily be on the same route

Bremerhaven is the port that BMW uses but where was your car made? Mine was trucked from there but was actually built in Regensburg.

Yes, Regensburg is where it's made, but MINIs aren't made in Southampton either, they're made in Oxford, so both vehicle types get sent to port from the factory Only Z4s and and X5s (and maybe X3s?) are built in the US

I ordered a Sirius S50 today as a 'welcome home' present for the 335

Just $79 after rebate vs. $850 for BMW's oem install...

Right about three weeks... the ship has 2 stops before crossing, so it won't unload until Feb 9/10, thats 2 weeks right there.. if they get me thru the VPC in 2-3 days, then 1 day travel time, and 1-2 days at the dealer... that's another week.... but that's good as it puts my payment right where I want it: the last week of the month.

Seems like forever since I went in to order it though (it was the day after Thanksgiving!) ...

My R56 is in the port.. waiting for me..... I won't be able to take delivery until at least the 17th maybe later.

I'm getting awfully anxious. Does anyone like the R99 Wheels in Anthracite combined with the LB/Black combo?

do you mean the port in NY? ... are they waiting until the "official" debut before delivering them? My salesman says mine should be at the dealer this week finally....

went to the configurator to check it out, the wheel combo looks good to me..., but the price .. are they still doing the 2-sets-of-wheels thing? (ie give you the originals in a box?)

are they giving you a good trade-in on your 06?

Yeah it's not in the drink in Southampton - it's sitting in NY.

i found a set on ebay without tires for under $900 bucks. sounds like the deal to me.

probably not - I'll get the true worth when I take it to CarMax later this week.

Carmax was low when I did my 05 for an 06... if I remember right Driver's World offered me $20k, Carmax just $18k, and CF gave me $21.5 as a trade... this on a $28k spec early 05 w/aerokit (I actually owned it for 20 months, getting it in July 04 and selling in March 06 @ 11k miles)

Their position was that most of their customers weren't intersted in a car "that small", and even if when someone looked at the ones they already had, they didn't want to buy them.

-but I think I had a bit of favor with CF after buying so many MINIs, and I had asked them for a quote when I ordered my 06 vert (thus the $21.5) which they somewhat reluctantly honored.

Have you tried private? I've mostly avoided this due to the hassle factor, but I just got $24k for a 15 month old 06 Mustang GT that was $28k new- what's more, I sold it in under 2 hours on the Mustang Forum.

(Luck Of The Irish )

BTW....get the wheels
