Just thought I would post a neat way to park you car when you have no space for big parking structures. This is the entrence to a vertical parking structure in Sapporo Japan. You drive in to the vertical parking lift and the it rotates the car up and away. BTW this thing is 7 stories tall and has four of set-ups in it.

No, I've seen them before just thought I would post up for those that haven't. Wierd by US standards but very efficient. I go over every year or two to see the in-laws, well actually so that athey can see the grandchildren, i don't think they even notice me and the wife anymore.

 

My son was just telling me about one of these that is located in New Jersey. He said that the garage uses a sorting algorithm developed by a software company. The parking structure decided not to honor the payment for the software so the software provider turned off their software. It stranded over a hundred cars in it until they paid their bill. Score one for the programmers.
