300 Horses & more to come?
I did the same thing.....now I have a MINI again. To each his/her own. Both are fun to drive but nothing drives quite like a MINI IMHO

Truth be told,
I don't visit the Mustang forums because all they talk about is Moding their
Mustang and going to car shows. while moding and car shows are cool, it
gets old fast.
What happened to DRIVING YOUR CAR!!$!?
they don't drive their car, take sweet pics (outside their driveway) make
videos that aren't mod related and the club meetings are more boring than
anything you could imagine!

Very nice car. I was strongly considering a new Black Mustang GT this year, but went for a Bullitt instead. I still plan to own one of the new GT's (black, of course) someday, but that will probably be a few years away.
Oh, and yes, the new Mustangs corner quite well, I've driven them on the street and at an autocross, and they do pretty darn well for a 3500 lb car.

Wanna bet?
A Mini might feel better and more composed while cornering, but a Mustang GT will turn as good or better times on an autocross course every time, assuming the same level of car prep (ie stock class autocross) and driver skill. Check the SCCA Solo nationals results for the last few years, F Stock (Mustangs and Camaros) beat G Stock (Cooper S) the last two years, although this year was pretty close. A Cooper is much easier to drive fast, but a Mustang in the right hands can do amazing things on an autocross course.
