I love the way he outran a motorcycle on the track and the way his face got pressed back like he was in a centrifuge. This is definately "win the lottery" territory for me - but congratulations on pulling the trigger on this - I bet it is a blast to own!

RUF RUF

PS - I really didn't cheat on my MCS since I bought it AFTER I got home from Germany. OBTW, relative to cheating... my wife said she'd "make Lorraina Bobbet seem like a Saint !"

Just like I'm happy with my MC rather than an MCS, I'd be just as happy with a "justacayman" as a Cayman S. They will only be about $52,000 instead of $65,000, so they will be quite a bit less unaffordable.

I think the Cayman is the best looking Porche of recent times. I think I would take the atom instead....reminds me of a Super Seven a little.

Hey Guys i have a Cayman S, what a wonderful Vehicle! don't get me wrong but the Cayman S is just one of the best Porsches I have ever owned. i also have a 911 TT and it is a very fast and powerful car, but the Cayman S is so SEEEXYYY!

I love my Mini Cooper S Cab. but Porsches are my passion.

Can any of these cars do 0-60 in 2.9 seconds like the Atom can - while more than keeping up with our MINIs in the twisties - while you are essentially outside (like on a motorcycle) hanging on in the 80 mpg wind and no windscreen ????

I just can't imagine the Atom experience - gotta do that someday.....

Just imagine - Atoms on the Dragon !!!!

I've got a base Cayman on order. I wanted to keep the MINI too, so the S at $10K more was out. I've always admired Porsches but never really lusted for one until I saw the Cayman, I think it's the most beautiful car they've ever produced. Driven both base and S models, of course more power is better, but the base is hardly lacking. Having the engine in the car with you sure sounds sweet. The P-car ordering system is not as precise as the MINI's so my only projection is late October/early November. Anyone need a like new A3?

I test drove a silver Cayman S (auto tranny) about 4 months ago. Gorgeous car. I was disappointed that there wasn't much low end oomph. It never felt "strong" at the lower end. You had to really rev that puppy to get the Cayman feeling like it was really moving out. At mid to upper end it was very strong. It does 0-60 in a little under 5 secs, but it just never felt that way. Again, a beautiful car, probably my favorite look (with the right wheels) of any car currently out there, it just left me wanting more low end take off than it provided.

Still, it is a tempting piece of equipment..

I agree that the car did not have gobs of tourque, but I liked it's rev happy nature. Once it hits 5000rpm, something opens up, it screams, and you gogogogogogogogo.

I also agree with an above statement that the cayman is the best looking porsche in recent history.

One thing I was very surprised about was how easy it was to drive quickly. I've driven 911 turbos (993), and they are beasts to drive. The cayman's power and handling were perfectly accessable. And yes, having the engine right there with you is an odd ordeal, but I could get used to it.

The New Porsche Cayman S - The MINI Cooper S of Porsches.

haaaaaaa

Heh' only problem is, I don't know if Porsche would want to pay MINI for the right to use their name in an advertising slogan. Well that, and there arn't that many people whos driven a MINI Cooper S and would still get any other kind of car .

It is more than funny when people have to move all the way up to Porsche's and Ariel's to get a better driving experience than the MINI provides!

Those are some damn nice cars though -

I love my Mini, but after driving the Atom the Mini feels like I am driving a houseboat in comparison

The only cheating I do on Little Bit is with Fifi (see gallery)
  1. Fifi was here first
  2. Fifi has saved my life
  3. Fifi takes me hunting
  4. Noone "ever" pulls out in front of Fifi!

That sucks... Tell me it as at least a GT, cause a V6 Mustang would be a lot girlier than a Cayman.
