Does anyone know what type of car this is?

In surfing around sites about Houston I came upon old Freeway photos. This one was taken on Hwy 59 (now I-59) in 1962.

Now my question is... does anyone know what type of car this one is?

Looks like a BMW, ethier that or its Italian ethie way just post WWII as small affordable cars were all people could buy and how many major maufacturers survived the post war depression in Europe. I'll have to look for one at the Micro car show this weekend.

That is an Isetta! I used to see one in Hollywood at the Safeway Market at Sunset & La Brea in the late 50s. I was fascinated and thrilled by it!

Ah hah! See, I knew someone here would know. I Googled BMW micro car and came up with photos of the BMW 600 and Isetta. It looks like an Isetta. Looks a tad bit out of place in 1962..

But I know that I will keep this handy when my husband starts complaining that the MINI is too small!

A few weeks ago, I traveled to NAshville, TN and we took a short visit to this place:

Look what they happen to have:

Of course I likes these:

This was one of the oddest:

Bruce is great! We've had scooter rallies at his Musuem before and get to bring out all the toys — go-karts, motorcross bikes, mini cars, Segways, etc — to play with. Burned the clutch on on the motorcross bikes. Oops!

He bought his son (11 or 13 at the time) a new MINI in 2002.
