Your ONE Dream Car ... what is it?

Lets us assume, for one minute of escapism, you have led a good life and can acquire ONE ... just ONE car. Lets not worry about initial cost ... you want a Bugatti, go for it.

NO MINIs (you already got one)

HOWEVER, you still have to live with your decision ... that is you have to:
  • Pay for gas (which you know is only going to go up)
  • Pay for insurance
  • Use as your everyday driver meaning to the grocery store or wherever
  • Use in the winter snow
  • Use in the summer heat
  • Where will it be serviced? (e.g., you pick an Exige, there are only 33 dealer in the country)
So whats it going to be? Exotic ... Ferrari, Lambo? Practical ... maybe an M5?

I think maybe a M6?

Citroen DS19

I have seen a few of these around Miami lately and often in mint condition. These cars are very, very rare here in the States.

I have always been attracted to the quirkiness and advanced for its time features of yesteryear Citroens.

I would love to have a Citroen XM sedan (Circa 1990) one of the last angular Citroens ever made.

Another car that I would not mind is a 1981 DeLorean.

Ah, if we're talking Citroen, I'll take a lowly 2CV please.

1 car?

a common choice, but what i'd give for:

and no, i dont want the S... just the Carrera... i'd slap some big brakes on it, put on some advan a048s on bbs wheels, and im good for all purpose driving

bottom line is... i can have my dream car: pagani zonda F... but i dont need 600+ hp for every day driving... nor do i even need that for track work... 300 hp is plenty enough to appreciate drivng

Ferrari 456GT. End of story.

And the Ferrari dealer is within walking distance of where I live.

New M5 with the V10 in it. Or the new M3 when it comes out.

Lotus Exige S (I know...not available in US, but you did say it had to be... ). No snow in Texas, so that's not an issue. And plus, there is an exotic dealership that services Lotus's about 2 miles from my house!

Since Ferraris are all too common cars in Miami, they don't do anything for me. I much prefer Lambos over Ferraris any day of the week.

The new Aston Martins are handsome too.

Porsche GT3, although winter could be a problem. Hey, if Ryan Reynolds can drive a GT3 in winter in the movie "Just Friends", then I can, too.

So are we assuming this would be our only car? If so I pick:

Not my favorite car, or even in my top 10, but it does everything really, really well.

If this is a 2nd or 3rd car, I pick:

Hey, we share the same dream car! However, I've been living this dream for nearly 3 years now. Compaired to other rare "exotics", they're cheap!

I second that one. Rode out with an AMV8 to Miller Motorsports Park during the Gumball 3000 with an AM V8 and it was amazing, a beautiful car.

With the way things are going in the Middle East, I am going to bet on an apocalypse in the next year or so and get one of these:

I can use it to hold down a local Sunoco gas station for a few years.
