Your ONE Dream Car ... what is it?
Porsche Carerra GT
I saw one in person today for the first time after seeing it in pictures. Actually I saw it once at the NY Auto shower but that doesn't count. I was in the car with my girlfriend and made her pull over.

I do not know how to insert pictures into the post yet, sorry
427ci 7.0L supercharged and intercooled
834 hp at 8,000rpms.
I had never seen this car before, until i saw it in person at the "Turkey Rod Run" in daytona. It had a plaque, with all the specs of the car. The reason i picked this car, is because you can still drive it on the street, and it can be serviced at any chevy dealership. Oh...and it would eat up almost anything.

OH! wikedgolf, i love your taste in cars! I too am a huge Air-cooled VW freak, i own a 1970 beetle and a 1968 Type 3 Notchback.

Very simple, as i live in california i dont worry about snow, and the hotter it gets, well, the more skin is revealed!!!
If i could have one car bought for me, it'd be very very very simple...
Ariel Atom 2 of course!
with the honda 2.0 motor supercharged. mmmm hmmm. Jay Leno is the first to own one here in these parts... what a great guy..
Why an atom ?..well, from what i've garthered, with insurance it is considered a motorcycle, thus insurance is relatively low so i can pay that, it isn't some 7 mpg V10, it handles basically better then any other street legal vehicle out there, and it is unique but also very very very impractical. that's why i doubt i'd ever buy one myself, but would love to have one.
here is one with the racing bodywork on it and plenty of goodies.
and yes, it is street legal

I got lucky on my dream car. I alway's wanted a Ferrari Dino since I was in High School, then low and behold during the oil crunch in Houston during the early eighties when all of the Oil Exec's were getting laid off one was at a Shell station for sale. I pulled in and when the attendant told me the owner wanted $22 Grand I went straight home talked my Dad into co-signing the loan papers and it was mine. I had graduated from college the previous year and was trying to save to move out of the house but this was a opportunity of a lifetime. Even though I had to live at home another 2 years of putting up with my Mothers complaining of not being able to put her car in the garage it was well worth it. I have had it ever since, even when Enzo died a couple of years later and the prices went sky high.
The only car not mentioned I'd go for would be an Exige I'd learn to get in and out, and in all other circumstances I'd be ble to make it work easily as long as I could find the tires for the winter. Mid engine rear wheel drive so it would be driveable in just about as much snow as my MINI. Oh and Chows I live within 30 miles or so of at leat one (maybe two) of those dealers.

Ok the last one is race prepped, but its the same basic car.
The MINI was my dream car, and the Exigie and F430 are probably the only cars out there I'd ever consider trading for but I'm not sure if I could live with the Ferrari on the day to day. I'd add an Exige F430 or Atom in a heartbeat if I could keep the MINI and afford a second car.

Ok, all of you guys would drive all of the above mentioned cars as a daily and drive them in the snow, pay insurance, etc...even though money not being an issue???
I would just get an RS4...I already have an E46 M3 (which was my inital dream car
) This is something I would get if i could afford it

Yes! I'd love to have one of those. After watching the Top Gear episode on it, where Jerremy got g-face, I loved it.
With the new, I also wouldn't mind the old either...

I'd drive an Exige just like I drive Pearl, just need to source some snow tires. And I'd probably do most of the basic service on my own to avoid the exotic car maintance costs, notice I'm planning more than dreaming, just a matter of time. Years maybe but someday I will.
heh, i'm actually in the preplanning stages of building a locost myself.. but i foresee a looooooong project
