STOP ... before merging onto Freeway???

Where did some people learn how to drive?

I was just merging at normal high speed onramp to a highway when a car is block the merge lanes WAITING for a hole in the flowing traffic to merge.

MERGE means merge, not STOP! Duh!

Happens all the time in metro detroit freeways, you find ways around if you are one of the fortunate ones that they are blocking. It is quite annoying though.

if you were going to merge onto 110 in pasadena, CA it would almost
be impossible not to merge without stopping or coming close to stopping
unless it was very light traffic.

but yeh, i see these certain types of people (very specific type + gender)
STOPPING in the middle of traffic to merge.. expressways and even local
hwy's and intersections... wtf are they thinking! go back to driving
your camels or donkies or wat not.

Not much worse than the ones you see in LA that STOP in lane, wait for a hole and or Good Samaritan to change to another on the Freeway.

Well at least the **** give us good chance to take advantage of all the HP, though I will admit, reaching the end of an onramp at the speed of traffic, then haviing to light up the brakes come to a full stop the floor it again to avoid being a spec on a semi-trailer's grill has made for some hair raising travels.

My biggest irratant in the 200+ mile I drove today was the inatentive souls who found it nessacry to ignore the double yellow and try to get around me but nearly run me over as I pull into a turn lane, then some even had the audasity to get on the horn cause I didn't do the same thing.

Ken, what you failed to mention is that the Pasadena Fwy portion of 110 is the original freeway in SoCal, and the on-ramps actually have STOP signs on them! So you MUST stop!

But yes....many people seem fearful or just have no clue about the meaning of "merge!"
