Off the top of my head.... two come to mind.
1. The Toyota Celica.... Dog runs into the back of a parked Celica.
2. The New Benz commercial...... The life flashing before the crush.

Would be fav. is the "Little Guy" MINI Commercial.... But I've yet to see it.
Is that being played in Canada?

Most of the VW commercials are funny!

 

I like the new Jetta commercial with the guy sitting in the car on his cell phone while it is being built......reminds me of me waiting for my Mini!

I like that Celica commerical too....the first time I saw that I laughed my a$$ off!

 

I've got to say, I agree with the Celica commercial, but I dig the GTi commercial where it gets stuck in the tree

 

I Love the Benz commercial too, but it made me CRY! I also like the camry in the sky-diver's air tunnel.

 

I have some SS 396 videos (training films from GM) from the mid 60s that will really blow your minds!

 

i like that one with the guy mashing with jetta vr6 to a wedding, probably to see the girl that he love merring another guy. i also think the song (J, Ralph--million miles away)was perfect for this commercial. by the way, can any one tell me how i can attach picture to my replies or submittals?

To add a pic in a thread..... while responding to a post you will see several boxes below the response field. One of these boxes says "IMAGE" If you click this box it will bring up a new window in which you type the URL of the image you want to display. NOTE: the image must be hosted somewhere. If your image is not hosted you can go to Shutterfly.com or Ofoto.com These two sites allow you to upload your photos. Once this is done.... just find the pic you want to display. Right click on the image and hit "properties" You will then see a url tag. Copy this. This tag is what you will then paste into your "IMAGE" field.

Is the VW commercial in which the guy is walking into the store...... Leaving his Jetta in the parking lot..... next thing you see is the guy running full sprint through the lot. Diving to block a buggy from rolling into his car!

I like the GTi in the tree, and the guy tackling the shopping cart, but my all time fav has to be (because i'm just one step away from being the guy in the commercial), is the guy who gets his girlfriend/wife/roomate out of the shower to show her that he can lower the windows from outside by twisting the key the other way... Heh heh...

I'd at least wait untill the wife was dressed...

They aren't really "commercials," like one's that would be played on TV, but the BMW promotional films at http://www.bmwfilms.com are great. Each is directed by an A-list director (Ang Lee, John Frankenheimer), and show different BMW models in action. Cool stuff. :smile:

I like the VW ad where the guy LICKS the driver-side door! Just hilarious! Also, the old VW ads in the 60s & 70s were brilliant!

 

I like the VW commercials...... particularly the one where the guy runs into the house and drags his wife outside to show her the "turn the key one way" and the windows open automatically. and he turns around and she's gone! That commercial amuses me because i can see that as being me when i have my mini! Dragging anyone and everyone (i don't have a wife... yet LOL)....... out to see how the windows open just by the turn of the key (or the press of my key button)

VW usually has good commercials all around!

My favorite commercial would have to be the VW commercial years ago with the two guys driving around and the "da da da" song was playing!! That is one of the first songs that came to mind for me when i was making my "MINI Mix" Cd's for when i get my mini!

 

My favorite is the Mini commercial in England where a women on a game show has to guess what car naked man drives by the size of his manhood. You can guess the size of the man who owns a Mini as opposed to the owner of a Ferrari

The alternate theory on that commercial is that the guy in the Jetta VR6 is there to stop the guy that he loves from merrying the girl.

Allow me, please! I own a 1999 VW Cabrio and I have that song on a few mix CDs I've created. The commercial does a great job of capturing what it really feels like to cruise in a Cabrio on a warm summer night! WOO! :smile:

I love the VW GTI in the apple tree commercial as well...

I like the Mercedes (I think) SUV commercial where the Mom is in a parking lot by the beach with a leaf blower....blowing all the sand off the kids before they pile in to her "Expensive" Mom-mobile....

I like the new mercedes one that shows all the people in pictures with their mercedes and then at the end it says, no one poses with their toaster (or something like that).

 

I don't watch much TV, but my favorite MINI commercial is the one where this guy is zipping around the fairground looking for a parking spot, finds one, and then some lady w/ her kid says, "okay...get out...it's our turn" mistaking the MINI for one of the carnival rides.

And I still love the MINI commercial w/ the bobby who pulls over the MINI for driving on the wrong side of the road. "This is America, man." "Right.................carry on!"

Ya, I thought that the first time I saw it and still laugh now.

 

I always liked the car commericial (can't remember the make...oops ) where the guy walks up to his ghetto old car and takes a cover off it to reveal the nice, shiney car he's trying to disguise. I remember thinking, "man, I want one of those.):smile:

Saw one commercial the other day.....must have been a Mercedes commercial (...don't think I saw the whole thing)... but it had a quick shot of Sterling Moss w/ a 300SLR along lots of other pics. I loved the "tip of the hat" to the Mille Miglia tradition but I wondered how many viewers got it.

 

I agree - those are two of my favorite commercials that are presently running. Anything with Sterling Moss is good in my book! The old VW ad where the guy tackles the shopping cart is good. And I also like the one with the dogs in one car chasing cats in another car. It is kind of European looking - almost an original Italian Job setting.

I also like the MINI commercial with the bull dog. He looks at the front of the MINI for a while as if it is another bull dog then walks to the back and sniffs its tail pipe as it were another dog's butt. It would be funnier if he mounted it but maybe not as commercially acceptable!
