The other day on my way to work, on the commute i've taken for a year now and know quite well, I turned right onto a road that passes by two schools, and about 4 apartment complexes, but is only about .6 miles long. ALOT of people turn out onto this road VERY fast, so if you've never been down the road before, it seems like a mess. People come to complete stops randomly to let people out all the time, and when i turned onto the road, people were stopped. I gave enough distance to slowly ease up and watched the Jeep behind me turn onto the road. She wasn't paying attention, and had hit the gas hard when she turned onto the road, so she had to slam her breaks and still couldn't stop in time, and had to swerve to the middle turning lane. Once we moved again, she got back in line and drove slow. We get to a stop light after passing everything, and she's in the left lane, and i'm in the right lane that merges with the left after the light changes. I was first in line, so i went quickly to get in front of the car in front of me, the right lane had ended, and i look in my rear view mirror to find the Jeep coming at me again, trying to go right of me to get in front after the lane ended! I speed up so she doesn't hit me (again) and she rides my tail until she finally passes me by getting in the middle turn lane again, then gets stopped at the light. Thinking this lady is going to do something outrageous again, i start to memorize the plates. All of a sudden i see an undercover cop come up beside us on the right in our one lane. He motions the lady to roll down her window with his lights flashing, and i was just waiting for him to pull her over... then lets her go! Whatever story she told must have been a good one. He turned right and she went straight while in front of me, driving the most sane i'd seen anyone drive. What the heck.

Road Rage with Shooting!

 

I was coming home yesterday, middle of the pack, approaching my left turn off AZ69. Just as I was getting into my left turn lane, a Hyundai sedan comes into my lane from my right (turning left onto hwy.). I see it's an older couple, so I pretend I'm going to head-on which freaks the passenger wife out. Bonehead brakes, and I stop close to them. He starts yelling like I'm in HIS freakin' way; I motion to the ground and then me, proclaiming it's my right of way!
If that wasn't stupid enough, he gets out, walks between our cars, and over to my window! I hardly let the old fart say he couldn't wait, much less give a chance to chew me out. I took control by telling him HE was breaking the law, that four (show 4 fingers thus avoiding temptation the show just the middle one) other boneheads have done that, and I'm not putting up with it anymore!!!!
Then bonehead asks sarcasticly how he should be able to get out, so I directed him to back up! Duh. He of course was bitching at wifey (prolly about how kids nowadays are so disrespectful of their elders), while waiting for the straggler Left-Lane-Lemmings coming towards me, so he goes to the right of me then back into the left turn lane!
Afterwards I was thinking (later as always) how I could have mucked him up by lurching forward when he walked between us, or pushing him into oncoming traffic!
Where does a driver's ed manual say it's okay to use the left turn lane in the wrong direction as an on-ramp?
