Mystery car...
Ok I was at the gas pump today and this car pulled in... I didn't see any name on it... but I did see what looked like a trident logo in red... Any ideas?
It was a red car, convertable, nothing I have seen before....

Yep, it sounds like you saw a Maserati Spyder. I saw one a couple of months ago & it really looked nice to me. What really got to me was the pure music it had for an exhaust note.

ok I got one maybe you car guys can figure out. I saw a car real breifly while making a turn. It looked like WWII era car, the profile was shaped some what like a classic beetle but the hood didn't have the bubbleness to it, and was painted maroon and black. It had a possible rumble seat with the silver turn **** and it looked like the badge said Croeten...any ideas? All I know was it was awesome and I'd like to figure out what it was.

holy shmoleys! that's it! you guys rock! That thing was the coolest looking car I've seen in a long time, the paint job on it was what made it twice as cool. I think all the arches were black as well as the boot and bonnet but the body was maroon...or vice versa. Like I said I only got a quick glance

how bout this one...if it shows, I was having trouble with the link but the concept is pretty odd. http://www.autosydeportes.com/noveda...V%20frente.jpg
Up into at least the early 1970s thos 2CVs were a mainland Europe equivalent to the VW bug here. Lots of students owned them. I remember riding all the way from Germany to Barcelona in one. It was relatively posh compared to even lower end models; some even having wicker seats.
The shift, um, lever was also a sort of stick that came out from the lower dash. I think they are extremely cool retros now. At the time all I remember is how bloody long it took us to get to Spain given the extreme lack of horse power.

I don't remember them having pull starts, but there were many levels of CVs, with those having higher end (sic) ones making fun of the ones that were barely cars.
I just noticed the rollback top in that pic. Yes, that brings back memories. In fact, I just remembered that, at least Germans, had a nickname for them: Ducks.
"Let uz take de Duck und go to my faters villa on Ibiza".
I love those little 2CV's or Deux Chevau. That means 2 horse power!
Citroen has come a long way since those early days. Heck this year they won the World Rally Championship for manufacturers & drivers!
