It might not be glamorous

But when the mud is up to my axle, or there is winter hay to bring home in fifty bale loads, or sheep to cart off to be rendered into neat little packages for the freezer, or tons of fresh snow to plow...give me my Chevy pickup!

The McLaren F1 has been my dream car for quite a number of years. However, I know my chances of even looking at one in person are virtually nil. At some point in my life though, I'd love to own a Viper.

For pure driving FUN, a Lotus Europa and the new MCS are pretty close. Mine was a 1970 model, 85hp Renault engine, 45mpg hwy, weighed in at 1,600lbs or so. Mid-engine, oversteer on demand.

Too many electrical problems, as a daily driver I had to give up on it.

This image represents the car a few years newer, 1975/76 me thinks.

C'mon folks. Let's get serious here. If the MINI were not invented what would you be driving? Fortunately I have always had a fallback...https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...tid=5816&stc=1

Please ignore the hood ornament.

Oh, in THAT case, I'd probably be driving a 20 year old 911. Or no sports car at all. I'm pretty happy with my new Ram 2500 truck (Cummins, of course )

Make mine a 32 year old 911, or 48 year old 356! I do enjoy the currently owned waterpumpers though: a 951 track car, and a 986S.

There are so many, and many have already been mentioned. But noe that I always come back to is the Austin Healey 3000. Boy would I love to have one of those some day.
Otherwise, just about any Ferrari will do.

good choice! I have an A4 as a driveway mate to my Cooper.

If it wasn't for the MINI then I'd be driving an A4 or a Mazda3... I can't get over the Mazda3's. I LOVE them.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the McLaren F1 would take the Saleen. Both fantastic cars though... I wish money was no object.

Other than the above FORD GT (I'll take ALL 3 above!), my favorite car is the 2005 Mustang GT convertible. And as 6/6/05, it was delivered to my house! I know own my 2 favorite cars in the world (other than the Ford GT). Mustangs have been my favorite car all of my life until the MINI came out. And I'm somewhat sorry to say that this new Mustang just may have knocked my MINI down to second! I'll post a review on the new Stang soon...
