Just spotted a very nice looking, well dressed blonde lady in a yellow H2. What was weird was that she was all alone. I hope she let someone know where she was going and when she would return cuz you should never go off roading in the back country by yourself.

I did not flip her off. Oh, but I wanted to.

Anybody heard Sean Hannity's promo where he brags about driving an SUV and cranking up the A/C and cruising on a private jet? Can you believe it is cool to waste energy if you're a 'conservative'?

God Bless America! (the real America where people care about more than themselves)

You got me.

The only reason I hate H2s is that everyone else does. It's certainly not out of concern for our soldiers, or ANWR, or any of the other soon-to-be casualties of our rapacious, gluttonous consumption of fossil fuels.

What difference does it make if we continue our rapacious, gluttonous consumption of fossil fuels and exhaust the supply in our children’s lifetime or we kill all of the H2 drivers and exhaust the supply in our grandchildren’s lifetimes?

It seems to me that there many more important things to hate; my choice (for this week) is to hate BRG MINIs.

My reaction isn't hate when I see a Hummer. It's thought pattern is more like 'that really is ugly and stupid looking, what were they thinking?, what's the image they're trying to project, what a great vehicle they could haved gotten for that $". Then again, people some people may think the same when they see me in my MINI.

I was crossing at a crosswalk with the walk signal in my favor yesterday when a very large SUV (not a H2 unfortunately) driver decided that he was bigger than me and could use his size and might to disregard the law that he must yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk.

As I jumped back to avoid being squashed, I reached out my arm with MINI key in hand and that SUV driver decided to attack my key with the paint on his rear quarter panel by rubbing 3 or 4 feet of paint across the tip of my MINI's key.

Why? You didn't have your Glock?

If the offending vehicle had been a MINI and not a very large SUV would you have keyed it?

I've done that. And it wasn't an SUV, it was a Jetta wagon. If people don't yield to crosswalks, I give them all the same treatment. My road courtesy is different for SUVs, though. I have never once slowed down to let an SUV pull out into traffic (why do I want a wall in front of me?). I do it for other cars all the time. So shoot me.

I feel that not yielding to pedestrians is the absolute worst form of road rage, period. In a more perfect world, such actions would be considered at least as bad as running redlights on purpose or blocking emergency vehicles on the way to someone in need. Such disregard for others infuriates me to no end and I acted impulsively when my life was threatened.

I actually jumped backward to get out of the way of this SUV. It was my key that remained in the same position my body would have been and the SUV driver chose to scrape his vehicle against my key.

No harm done really, since someone who values a few seconds of his time over my life certainly doesn't have time to worry about some silly paint.

You've made my point exactly! No need for me to say anything else.

Yucca, I'm with you on this one. I guess we just dont understand that people are free to make their own choices and we should not have opinions. Why do we care if people choose to buy SUVs and choose not to yield to pedestrians? The real question is why aren't these stupid pedestrians driving their own SUVs. If they are stupid enough to walk acroos a street where there are SUVs then that's their problem.

Yucca, I bet you are also the kind of guy who properly disposed of waste in the recepticle (that's trash can for you SUV driving, no yielding, cigarette but tossing, Mc Donalds eating, Walmart shopping, sit-com watching, no water drinking, somehow got an MA to sell you a MINI wierdos).

Morons drive SUV, semis, bugs, impalas, minis, MINIS, even Smart cars. the moron is the one behind the wheel, and it has nothing to do with what he or she drives.
Yucca, I would have said well said...I am left with "well keyed" instead......Please though, keep your biases in check....be an equal opportunity keyer.....you´ll be a better person for it......

Size matters.

I would like a Hummer 2 if it were the same size as a classic mini.

It would be called the Hummie 0.3

Smaller not bigger.

Nope, A Hummie 3.0 would be three times the size of a mini.
A Hummie 0.3 would be 30% the size of a Hummer (mini sized).

You could park a Hummie 0.3 in the cargo area of a Hummie 3.0

Probably wouldn't even affect that poor gas mileage. You might as well be driving a cement truck or armored car.

Hmm, anybody ever notice that Hummer rhymes with dumber?

Yucca, to key or not to key, that is the question. How did you get those keys out of your pocket so fast? Or do you have 'em always at the ready, like some type of modern Ratso Rizzo.

I'm walking here! I'm walking here!

Just good fortune to have them in my hand because my MINI was parked across the street and I was rolling down the windows remotely at the time.

Hey I know, lets go back to the 50's and watch those informative videos that show what war does to the economy! How kids a school all ride bikes, their parents have to conserve gas so the men overseas can use it for their tanks, jeeps, generators whatever. Conserving on smokes, water and everything so the boys overseas can have a somewhat better life than the crap they go through. I've seen some of these videos, how the bellboy at the gas tank only puts in 2 dollars or 3 for gas and cuts back on Mrs. Bells gas in her tank Buick. I have to point out.......what do other drivers think of the MINI community? Do they think we have a nose up to everybody? That our **** don't stink? Goody boy wearing plaid british wannabes that need to go back to the fatherland of england? What do they think of us? I don't know, I've been asking around to people that tell me they dislike the Cooper and S. I probe to see what they hate. Turn the table on this........

I think mostly MINIs are invisible to Fred and Ethel. Us MINI drivers, so passionate about our cars don't realize that in the main, the MINI is just another square furrin s..tbox not to be minded.

The psychos and "professional" haters and bashers, which come in all stripes will HATE whatever you got.....best thing to do, ignore them, enjoy your vehicle of CHOICE and be kind and polite on the road of life.......
Saw someone this morning driving a 1940's Army 5 ton truck, probably his pride and joy...also probably gets 2.1 MPG.....good for him....hope he is having a wonderful day in his wondrous machine......
