My poor Land Rover has been very neglected the past few months, but today I gave it a thorough semi-annual cleaning!

I sprayed down every surface (interior and exterior) with full strength Simple Green, scrubbed it with a sponge and scrub brush where necessary, and then rinsed it with a pressure washer. I even gave the matte black bonnet, wheel arches and trim a nice protective coating of used motor oil

Don;t worry, I don't wash my MINI like this, but there is something strangely satisfying about cleaning the interior with a pressure washer and using motor oil as a detailing product

Totally dig the Defenders. I don't like trucks, but I always make exceptions for this one

This is a proper off roading truck, not a luxo-barge with 19" wheels and car tires...

Yucca,

Take that Land Rover on the Tail of the Dragon run. Might be fun. Not like the MINI fun though.

Washing your Rover with simple green and a pressure washer? If I did that with my old car I think I'd loose some paint. Why not just wipe your car with some denatured alcohol? Well, you'd be loosing some paint in a hurry if you did so don't even try it.

By the thread name I thought it was going to be about washing your young son or daughter or maybe even a family pet.

With the suspension lift, oversized tires, and removal of all sway bars, the Defender leans in turns like a motorcycle (except it leans the wrong way)

These days, I don't drive it unless I am specifically going somewhere off-road or am putting a few miles on it every week just to keep the engine and drive train happy.

Interesting that I am getting "1LESSUV" for my MINI's license plate. I truly despise SUV's, but I don't consider my Land Rover to be one of them since it is nothing more than a street legal tractor and I use it as such.
