So my dad stole the MINI this morning...
He needed to drive to Glendora to see some clients and likes the MINI a lot for freeway cruising because he likes darting in and out of lanes when traffic gets backed up on the congested L.A. freeways. Well, I got left with the Mustang (black on black 2002 GT convertible 5-speed). Man is this car a pile, doesn't do anything particularly well and drinks fuel at a stupid rate. I took it to some of my favorite backroads and it just wallows and understeers off the throttle or snaps and throws a$$ all over the place if you get on the gas
. The only cool thing about it is that it loves to take off hard, I did a couple of launches and it hooked right up, just about all that '60s live axle design is good for. I don't understand why people still buy these cars new, it must be the awesome incentives and stupid financing deals available from Ford. Oh well, glad to finally have the keys to the MINI back and happy we aren't keeping this Mustang for more than 6 weeks.
