Long story short I am 21, my friend back at home was GIVEN a 2009 Subaru WRX off the lot. I just bought my own 2003 MCS and love it. As soon as I get it he decided to be a little s*** and talk down on various electrial problems the MCS has had as any car will have as they are all controlled by computers..

Excuse my rant but when you haven't even gotten your hands dirty on any vehicle you can't scold someone else on their s***tty purchase. Especially when he doesn't own his WRX his father makes payments on it.


The new WRX's are ugly anyways who agrees?
I am going to go install a new deck in my MCS right now. While retaining the steering wheel controls using the PAC-SWI-x.

Have a great day guys as we all agree that the MCS is awesome and spoiled brats have no room to talk about other peoples purchases. Dang I am quite heated right now. Think I will go slam a fifth of red label.

 

My advice... don't let it get to you! Some people are "lucky" to have parents that buy them very expensive cars. Not much you can do about that.

I'm in grad school, and last week I saw an undergrad pull up in front of school in a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. Yes, undergrad student driving a $400k+ car. It's crazy, but not worth getting worked up about.

You are right about that. Its just that I have worked hard and shoveled s*** on 4 continents and he gets given a 25k car and doesn't even know how to swap out a top mount. Quite the annoying type since I walked him through installation a while ago.

I really didn't mind the looks of the previous generation WRX STi at all. However, this newest one looks to me like a dolled up Ford Focus. It really doesn't appeal to me. More like meh. Of course I feel the same way about the Mazda 3, with its perennial smile "" that looks like The Joker mated with the cheshire cat in Alice in Wonderland.

Don't get me wrong. They're great rally cars. But dude! You would put that guy away on an autocross or a twisty back road. Next time he says something just give a nice grin and respond with "wanna go for a drive?" Find some twisties and let your MCS do the talking. There is no need for anything more.
