I didn't want to hijack the H2 thread any further.

I like the looks of the new WRX and STi. I'm sick and I know it.

Go lay down Dave...on the beach...lay there and envision an MCS instead of a Subaru in all of the photos that you've posted here...four-wheel drifts on a dirt road, airborne, airborne, and more airborne...but an MCS, not a WRX...

I'll second your thoughts Dave. I think it looks nice also.

Especially when you get the anti-gravity dealer-installed option.

Except for the dumb-looking (oops, I mean "functional"!) wing, I like it, too.

There are far, FAR uglier cars out there. I just noticed one of these this morning, for example:

Mitsubishi Outlander

Can you imagine anything more boring? This thing makes the Camry look pretty crazy.

The first step in overcoming illness is to admit it. Now you just have eleven more and you will all be cured.

P.S. OK, I am a little sick too and kind of kind of like it too

Yeah, I really like the flying vehicles with wings. I also have a thing for spewing snow.

A WRX STI was one of the cars I was considering at the time I bought my MINI. I like the looks, save for the basket handle wing. I was also looking at an SRT-4 as well, and the wing was my main turn off there as well. PT Turbo was close as well, aesthetically understated compared to the above. MINI won out in the end for it's uniqueness and execution. Sure, those others will leave the MINI seeing taillights in a drag race, but I have my own ideas on how to alleviate that.

My only complain is that the go-fast goodies are much more readily available for the aforementioned cars, often at a lot more reasonable price.

Easiest mod-free way to alleviate that problem is simply to turn a ccouple of cornersand let them see your brake lights!

You're hardly sick....I love the look of the STI, but I can imagine everyone would want to drag me at a light. But the Scoobies won the WRC this year...can't argue with that type of success.

Fins and whale tails on the right car look great - especially something like an older Porsche 930 Turbo.

Take two aspirins and a hot shower to wash off all those WRX-ched thoughts.
The MINI has panache like no other car.

I do love those... sometimes think I'd trade the Mini in for one, but then I talk sense into myself. Sometime though, I might get one. Be tempted to rally it though... I don't think there's a way to have more fun while racing...

^^^^^^^^^^ Hey Jeremy, LTNS

Um, Dave...about that trip to hell? We can go in hubby's WRX!!!! Cool huh?

LOL...Paul(hubby) watched that race for days (it seemed), then started to talk about the WRX in auto-cross. I just rolled my eyes and smiled indulgently...he already runs an S.

I hate to tell ya folks, but I like the WRX too.....after you, Dave...
