it's a very good engine with lots of potential. Twin turb, direct injection, variable valve timing and over 100hp/l. Check out the write up at my blog:

I don't know much about Fords, but will they stuff this into the Focus? Is the Focus engine pretty good already?

Ford

is getting agressive on smaller turbo enhanced engines. They'll be a 4 banger version of this engine as well. But right now the Europeans are feasting on a DI turbo 5 banger that's in the Focus RS that gets just shy of 300 HP.

IT didn't come here (boo hoo, it's a screamer). The current thought is that the next version of the focus becomes the world car and we'll get the hot version then. Too bad this RS didn't come over. If it were here, I'd have had to come up with some story why we needed one with two little kids!
