Hey Guy
I saw that on TV and laughed my butt off. Honda has a great way with commercials. Thanks for the link and laugh.

Very neat! I wonder how they actually did that. It doesn't look like computer animation, but it would take close to forever to do it via regular stop motion. (oh wait...now I just read the rest of their site, and they specialize in "photo realistic" computer animation...wow, they're good)

I love legos.

Why couldn't I ever make anything that cool out of Legos as a kid?

I still have my legos, tho I can't seem to make things as interesting as before (perhaps because my mind has been numbed by the corporate world?)...

But I did re-build my Lego Technik Cessna this weekend, I must admit- it felt damn good...

caio,

-Matt

Ahhh Matt, it doesn't have to be this way! To wit:

"A Window to LEGO SERIOUS PLAY"
This workshop is an introduction to LEGO SERIOUS PLAY, an innovative tool designed to maximize the human potential in organizations. This powerful, facilitated process is based on the belief that everyone can contribute to the company's discussions, decisions and outcomes. Experience LEGO SERIOUS PLAY and find out how to integrate this "lean-forward" technology into your facilitation toolbox to provide participants with an engaging tool for thinking, communicating and problem-solving. Nearly 100 companies worldwide have used LEGO SERIOUS PLAY for strategic planning, team-building, change management and leadership development.
A break is included in this session.
Yes, this is "playing with LEGOs" in a corporate environment. Even without this much structure, in my company I keep 3 or 4 small dishes of legos on the conference table. There's seldom a meeting where we don't have at least a couple of participants building vehicles, animals, etc. WHILE they're participating in the real work at hand.

I thought the Element always looked like a large LEGO, so it all fits together nicely (pun intended)

I thought it always look like a large Rubbermaid bin. Probably a better commercial with raining legos though.

I made some pretty neat things as a kid, but I think the limiting factor was that I did not have ENOUGH legos! to make an actual car:P

I'm not sure it's possible to have enough Legos. No matter how many I had, I always wanted more.

I always ran out as a kid. Which is why I've probably over-compensated for my kids and have procured enough legos so that they NEVER run out. Of course, they seem less interested in them than I do, but I figure they'll grow into it.

Oh, btw, earlier today I was in a mall that had just opened a Lego store! A bit over-priced (and very, very, yellow) but they did have a whole wall that was filled with bins of plain bricks (2x8 mostly) in all sorts of non-standard colors and some bulk parts such as trees, wheels, etc. You bought them by filling and buying cups (like a deli). $2.95 for a small cup of about a pint and $6.95 for a larger quart size. I'll be back there I'm sure.

hmmm... I wonder how many Legos would it take to build a full sized car...... That was a brilliant commercial, Honda certainly has a great ad team....
