Ok I'd like to see that comparison with The Stig.

Yeah, the 135 outran the Cayman, but most people (I think anyway) would still rather take the Porsche. Come on, could you get a 1 series to look this good:

I dunno, I personally like the 135i. And I have a better shot at owning one of those than a Cayman.

The photo below is by no means the base Cayman... more like a $70k - $90k version. The 135i base model is less than $36k... Porsches are wonderful, but at least here around DC, they no longer make alot of sense because we just can't drive fast enough to really enjoy them, Virginia insists that if you can buy a $70K car, you can afford to spend thousands on personal property tax for it (what bs!), andnd the maintenance is horrendous. I have a friend with a ten year old Boxster and she spends $5000 a year on it. Granted she does nothing herself, but in comparisson, I spend less than $500 a year on my Z3 coupe... I think the 1 series cars are really going to change the performance sedan market once they are readily available. BMW rocks!

Don't get me wrong, I like the 135i. It's a sweet car and I personally like the looks. I was just looking to compare car to car, not including price, insurance, maintenance, all that whatnot. If someone showed up on your door step with 2 sets of keys, 1 to a 135i and the other to a Cayman, which set are you taking? Let's cut out any questions and say both cars are exactly as how you would order them from the factory. My new keys would have this emblem:

Oh, and the above pictured modded Cayman, that's a $147,000 TechArt car.

What's up with BMW's crappy styling these days? Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse...

Nice to watch the one series capture some good rep. (and in the categories that mattered too)

Do I like the styling, no. I preferred the traditional BMW boxiness, however it is a car that "blends" with the normal sedan; which is a classic and IMO highly desirable trait.
