What do you think of these ?If a contractor came to work at your home and had one of these instead of the normal PU truck or Van what would you think ? They get about twice the MPG as a truck .To cute , to fem, not normal ,truck broke and took his wifes car ?
Haven't seen one in person yet, but I want to. I dig 'em. Do one up traditional hot rod style - black with flames, mags, lettering/logo on the panels - sweet!

I'm a painting contractor so it has to be white because of overspray and other mishaps.
Seeing this one in person got me thinking about it .

perfect example of one done correctly. I feel the same about PT's. I hate them, but when done in a classic style they look insane.

as far as a contractor using one, i would question it. they just arent a vehicle that should be used for that. they are fully carpeted on the inside, have minimal towing capacity, and minimal power. these are more perfectly suited for an old school shop or a hot rod shop.
Could you fit your ladders and gear in/on it?? With the dog dish's and classic graphics I think it's a clean look. I do like it better in red than white-but then chevy's white is really white so that might be it. You are in an area of the country that is both car nuts and enviro sensative so it might work. Can you get it with a rubber floor so you won't have to worry about paint spills, dirty boots, etc?
After about 5 years it will be trashed no matter how hard I try to keep a truck clean .It's just another tool . They do offer racks .The panel has no back seats just plastic.with a rubber mat
Blech ! I'd send him home and call another contractor.
H I D E O U S.
Don't get on me... he asked !
It's not like I'm in love with this thing ,it gets 30 mpg compared to 10 my truck gets .I do want honest opinions . I dont want to be known as the painter in the freak vehicle .
Keep in mind, that getting 30 mpg in one would only occur when empty and going down the highway with the cruise set at 55. Idling in a driveway, short trips, and loaded down with tools and equipment will have a significant impact on the MPG. Athough I'd guess it would still get 18-20 mpg in the worst case scenario. It wouldn't bother me seeing a painting contractor driving one.
