What if you include a close-up picture of the grill, in which the chrome running horse emblem is the major feature of the picture? Does that now violate their rules? And if that does, then what about a picture from the same angle but taken farther away from the car? Now the whole car is visible (front view), and the horse is still visible, but it's not the main focal point of the shot.

In the 2008 NAM calender, one of the pictures is a close-up of the MINI wings badge. Would MINIUSA throw a fit over that one?
I am not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV but I would guess that you wouldnt have any problems so long as you were taking your own pictures of your own car, regardless of content. Adding the Ford logo or Ford name in a separate logo seems to be where they take notice.

i didnt read threw all of this, so i hope it hasnt been said, but the worst case i of this i have ever seem is McDonalds suing some guy in scotland who had McDonalds Castle. It doesnt matter that his name as McDonald. Or that the Castle has had that name for at least 300 years. Guess who won that one? Yup, he had to change the name of the castle. This was probably 10 years ago by now, but i still remember it hapening, just fuzzy on all the details.

And having owned numerous new fords, they probably just dont want people to find out how crappy their products are by looking on the interenet. They dont want to loose more than the $1500 they already do on every car they sell...

If I've paid for the car and I've taken the picture Ford would have to kiss my rear for sure. In fact, as we speak the Hubby has his 2007 GT500 in some questionable situations. Ford has left us alone thus far, and it better stay that way.
