Sorry. I should have been more specific. I was going for style over accuracy.

NASA does not provide a free lunch during HPDEs. NCRC gives you a lunch ticket as part of your entry fee.

I understand. Must be a "Bizzerkly thang".

Never the less, NCRC offers (2) days of (6) ea. 20 minute track sessions plus lunch - not bad.

Just give Dave Mills my name when you sign up. Tell him I referred you. Done deal. Clive made 50 bux off me that way.

Track jones approaching!!

SAII is in the shop getting a new kevlar seat with 5 point harness. The roll cage is in but still smells of paint.

Something needs to be done about the fact that my rear fender wells are chewing up my tires. BBM is applying percussive maintenance. (i.e. beating on them with a BF hammer.)

Camber has been reset to let the tires get a flatter purchase on the pavement and wear more evenly.

Thunderhill is next April 28-29.

Naw, too long. I need a fill in date.

Some more track dates....

Thunderhill with Nor-Cal Shelby Club, May 5-6
1/2 day driving clinic on the 5th (slolom, figure 8, braking excusizes, great for new drivers)
1/2 day open track on 5th,
Full day open track on 6th....

Rates...
Driving School $150
Driving School + Sat half day open track $225
Full Weekend $450
Sat Afternoon, and full Sun open track $350
Sunday Only $250

Non-members can either pay $58 extra for the whole year memebership, or just a $20 premium if you don't want to join the club.

FWIW, NorCal tends to run 4 groups. Safety equipment scales with run group. They are the nicest bunch of track rats I've ever run with. And it's fun to pass cobras!

I may not be able to be there, we're expecting our next daughter on the 7th plus or minus a week!

Since I'm not driving the racecar at Buttonwillow on the 14th, I signed up for NASA @ T-Hill 14-15, Group 4. That should do it.

If any other fasties are going, we need to have a meeting to decide on another incentive.

As you may recall, the FMOD hat went to Bob Scheer, driving the #4 USTCC Canyon Motorsports Racing MINI. He retained it through the AMVIV SMR cockup because he took the pole and was then punted off the track by a slower car while in the lead, making him, in my opinion, the Fastest MINI Of the Day, regardless of the race results.

So we need a new goal for our fast MINI drivers (maybe an autographed photo of Minnie Driver?)

Kevin Smith just invited me to join the TT class in NASA, so I ordered a transponder and will soon be able to tell you my lap times. It's basically HPDE Group Four with timing. I'm in TT Class D. :-D

Not yet. That'll buy me 6 2/3 track days.

But if Matt organizes a trip that includes track time AND drinking afterward, well, then I might have to reconsider.
